Green Sleeves 2 long dress

Green Sleeves 2 long dress

For those that followed us on Multiply, you know that I like to feature items that are 'Most Wanted' to me.  Basically, think of this as my very public wish list (hey, my bday is in 141 days).

I have really been into maxi dresses lately.  I like the way they flow, make me feel elegant, and allow me to indulge in that extra cup of coquito without worrying about my tummy.  I especially like the look of a long dress with high boots, a style I am sure my mother perfected in the early '80's.

This dress is particularly stunning because of the green (which the store states is actually much deeper in person), the bell shaped sleeves, and the crossing on the bodice.  Just divine.

Pick one up for yourself at idea2lifestyle's etsy store.

  1. I love the goddess look of it in addition to the color. It really accentuates the waist and bust so well, while still looking comfortable.

I know, I've been seeing and thinking about maxi dresses for summer a lot lately. There's something so appealing about them.

  2. this dress is fabulous...I love how it hugs in the bodice, but is loose and flowly in the sleeves and skirt. Gorgeous.
Hmmmmmm now I'm considering pulling out some of my vintage maxi dresses--I've never worn one actually, but I have a few stored away.

and PS--it's awesome you got your blog all updated and up and running. Happy New YEAR!

  3. I bought the dress and it arrived today. It is indeed much deeper in hue than the photos show. The photos are nearly a traffic light green. In real life the dress shows off in different ways. In dim, evening light it looks like a bottle green but in bright daylight it is definitely a deep emerald. Also, there is a soft sheen to the fabric that does not show up in the original photos at all. Not a satiny sheen; more silky. I haven't tried the dress on yet because I wanted it to "breathe" from its long journey from Shanghai to Colorado. The creator was very accommodating and my toes are crossed that it fits in all the right places. By hanging it against my body the length looks exactly what I asked for: not a full/maxi but definitely covering the ankles.
